Description
This Anderson Metals tee compression tube fitting is made of brass, has flared tube connections on the main run and a male NPT connection on the branch, and is suitable for use with fuel and gas systems. It is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. This fitting is T-shaped and has three openings to connect and branch three tubes, two on the main run and one branch at a 90-degree angle from the middle of the tee. It has flared tube connections on the two main runs for connecting to flared tubing and a male National Pipe Taper (NPT) connection on the branch for connecting to a female NPT threaded tube, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting can be used with copper, brass, aluminum, or steel tubing and is part of an assembly that resists mechanical pullout for a more secure connection, and can be assembled and reassembled without affecting the seal. Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Tube fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, welded, barbed, and push-to-connect (also called one-touch). Tube fittings are used in various applications, including machine tools, airplane and truck controls, and automated production lines, among others. Anderson Metals manufactures brass fittings, valves, and pipe nipples. The company, founded in 1951, is headquartered in Kansas City, MO. Flared tube connections on the main run and male NPT on the branch Operating temperature range of -65 to +250 degrees F These fittings contain lead and are not allowed by federal law to be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.
